we can all decide to see what’s going on here — the perversion of our judicial system, our political system, our economy; the corruption and upending of our folkways and mores; the greatness that makes these the UNITED States of America coming apart at the edges while simultaneously being rended apart from within — we can all decide to see this and give up on our country, or our society.  It’s so fucking easy to just throw your hands up and walk away from the problem, right?

Or we can start giving a fuck about each other and start fixing the whole God-damned mess.  I vote for that latter.  Because with patience and perseverance, all of this bullshit, all of this fucking man-made nonsense?  It’s fixable.  We just need to start being God-damned decent to one another, and facing down the noxious shits who’d fight us over giving healthcare to the needy, protections to consumers and workers, choosing to fund endless wars over helping lift up the impoverished, or looking out for the rich while the poor are left to their own devices.  Stand up to and call out injustice where you see it, be it the racial inequities in our cities’ prisons or the hatred against persons based on their sexuality, or religion, or ethnicity, or income level, color, creed or nationality.

Give a fuck.  Get angry, get mad, but give a fuck.
